Cookie policy

Cookies are small files a site may save in your browser to recognise you on later visits. Storing and accessing them is governed by Romanian Law no. 506/2004 (art. 4) and the GDPR: apart from those strictly necessary for the site to work, cookies may be used only with your consent.

No first-party cookies. The site is static, has no user accounts, shopping cart, comments, traffic analytics (Google Analytics or similar), marketing pixels or embedded social-media buttons. We use no localStorage or other browser storage either. That is why there is no general consent banner: the only content that can set cookies is the Google Map, and consent for it is given on its own button.

Fonts are hosted on our own server, not on Google Fonts, so no request leaves for third parties when a page loads.

On the Home and Contact pages we show a panel with the hotel's address and an "Accept and load map" button. Until you press it, no connection to Google is made. Once you press it, the Google Map loads in a frame (iframe) and Google may set its own cookies and process your IP address under Google's privacy policy and its cookie policy. Pressing the button is your consent to that load; the choice is not remembered, so you will see the panel again on your next visit.

You can stop the map at any time with the "Disable map" button, which removes the frame and stops further requests to Google; cookies Google has already set are not deleted by us, but you can delete them in your browser. If you prefer not to load the map at all, the "Open in Google Maps" link opens Google Maps in a new tab, and the address is written on the page.

The official booking site (hotel-corvaris.pynbooking.direct), Facebook and Google Maps are separate sites with their own cookie policies, which apply once you arrive there. Links to them open in a new tab.

At most we are interested in how many visits and clicks each page gets. If we measure that, we will use a cookie-free solution that does not identify visitors, describe it here and in the Privacy policy and, if the law requires it, ask for consent first.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each have a "Privacy" section). Blocking cookies does not affect this site.
